History
In December 12, 1965, the Rural Bank of Cardona (Rizal), Inc. opened its doors to the public as one of the first few rural banks in the province of Rizal. As a rural bank, it hoped then to abide by its mandate of serving the rural communities and helping people achieve a better life. Serving the agricultural and small business sectors, RBCI initially focused on serving its clients who are engaged in farming, fishing, and livestock raising.
As the province grew, so did the Bank. From mostly agricultural clients at the start of operations, the Bank began serving clients in the industrial and commercial sectors, too. It embarked on its expansion program then to serve other neighboring towns in the province.
In November 1996, Taytay branch was opened. More than a year thereafter, two more branches, Antipolo and Cainta, were opened in August 1998. The Bank’s journey continues. On its 60th year as of year 2025, the Bank, the Cruz family behind it, the management and staff, remain committed to its mission of helping people and communities.
